How
much money do we need up front?
This
depends on the finance option
you choose. We have options
that require no money down and
we have options where you put
up to $5000.00 down. We try
to figure out what is the best
option for you!
Must
we have a real estate agent?
If
you are currently working with
a real estate agent, we welcome
agents and suggest you definitely
use that agent. Heidi’s
background in real estate allows
you to go through the process
without an agent if you are
comfortable with that, this
option will also save you money
on commission. If you
want an agent and are currently
not working with one, we have
an agent that we work with on
a regular basis that we would
be glad to refer.
How
do we get started?
Decide
what kind of new home you want.
Do you need to move fast
or do you have time to custom
build?
Decide
on a builder. Select a
builder who specializes in the
type of home you want to buy.
Make sure they have experience
and a good reputation. Talk
to current homeowners of that
builder or ask for references.
Select
a lot. Your builder will
help you do this. There
are several communities to choose
from.
Secure
Financing. Determine how
much you want to borrow, how
you want to pay for upgrades
if you choose to add extras.
Your loan will be approved
at the time of contract with
your builder, but you can make
changes if needed, to adjust
the price to include upgrades,
as long as you stay within your
approval budget.
Finalize
sales contract with your builder.
Break
ground! Your process can
last anywhere from 4-6 months
(Longer if during the winter
months). When you have
done your research and chosen
a reputable builder you can
relax and know the builder you
chose will take care of the
details.
